A love letter .

 

Dear Cutie next door,

I MUST CONFESS! Everyday I look out and see you staring, with those honey brown eyes and you give me that smile, my heart skips a beat. I always thought we were good together, cheerful, excited, always fun to be around. All the stupid things you do, it makes me go “that’s my boy y’all”. You don’t realize how nice it is to have someone who gets excited just by looking at you. No wonder the whole neighborhood loves you! Even so, we find the barking at midnight annoying. You really taught me to find joy in little things just like how you love chasing butterflies and dig around like your about to find a hidden treasure. I wish I could tell you all this in person while giving you belly rubs, I wish I could run by your side during our walks, I wish you were with me wagging that fluffy tail of yours kissing me when I come back home every day. However brief it may be, I’ll watch you from my window and believe me I really love you.

How did I end up with him ?

 It was past midnight at NYC , I was up with plies of work , messed up hair , empty coffee cups , shuffled playlists , ash tray halfway filled with cigarette butts,  and the air smelled nicotine , loads of work not done but something made me giggle it was my husband how did I end up with him? It was that night on my summer break at the carnival ,the night which still gives me butterflies and smiles ,the night we danced at the intersection ,the night we almost burnt down the house while trying to cook, he was really a barrel of laugh ! But he is useful at times ,God I'm really blessed. As these thoughts wandered across my mind  I was thankful and against my clock I started to work .
